Rancourt's Weltline penny loafer is a work of art. The design and craftsmanship are top-notch. This shoe is a fashion classic that will carry itself for years.
Overall, a beautiful shoe. They fit true to size and are comfortable. Well made. The only negative is the leather quality. There is some loose grain and wrinkling on the inside heel area on both shoes. I’ve never seen this on calfskin shoes before. It’s not noticeable while wearing.
Overall these are excellent, beautifully made shoes - and very comfortable. Only minor complaint would be the fit- I wear a size 12 in Allen Edmonds oxfords and it was suggested I should use that same sizing for these - they're a bit large but with more wear and breaking in I think these will fit well. Same thing on the Beefroll Loafers- Rancourt suggests sizing half size down, which I did, but my heel comes completely out of those every time I walk quickly or uphill. That said, the quality and finish on both pairs are absolutely top notch, and the heel slip issue is easily fixed with a tongue pad and heel pad. Very happy with my purchase and will likely be getting a pair of ranger mocs next (but a full size down this time).

This is mostly a review of Rancourt's incredible customer service. David was so patient with me as it took several attempts to get my sizing right. As for the shoes, they are beautiful, well-made, comfortable right out of the box. Perfect dress loafer to wear with suits. They are definitely hand-made with each shoe having its own character from the particular craftsperson who made it. I'll definitely be back for my next work shoe purchase.
