The choice leather, solid construction make for a secure and comfortable fit. Best of all, the pliable sole keeps me upright on a wet deck. I like a moccasin style boat shoe, but my last pair, bought from a large chain marine supply store, rubbed blisters and were more suited for the dockside grille than a rolling sea. These are keepers.
It is nice to see that you can still buy a quality made in Maine product, I bought these for a Christmas present and she was very happy. I like the fact that they can be re soled, I will be buying a pair for myself.
