It's built on our 115 last, same as our dress shoes, so it has a sleek silhouette that keeps it out of the work-boot realm. This last fits tru-to-size and with multiple widths available there's definitely a size to fit just about anyone.The Lactae Hevea Cricket soles are crafted with a storm welt to give it just the right amount of ruggedness and comfort.
Handmade from famous Horween Chromexcel leather. What can we say about Chromexcel that hasn't already been said? It's highly water-resistant, low maintenance, incredibly durable, oh and did we mention it's strikingly handsome? The Knox boot comes fully-lined with tan cowhide lining, adding further to the durability of this boot. We've engineered every detail of the Knox boot to last a lifetime.

Good looking and comfortable
I am very impressed with the quality and the fit of the Knox Boot. A female colleague noticed that I was wearing my new boots and was impressed. This made my day! And while I questioned a boot without a Vibram sole, I am impressed with the comfort of the Lactae Hevea Cricket soles. Very quiet and yet sturdy. They held up well this morning when I was walking the dog through a slushy mess coming from a broken water main.

Great boots, but they don't fit as described.
The website states, "Most American shoemakers will have a similar fit..." I wear an 8.5D in my Red Wings, so I naturally bought a pair of Know Boots in the same size. The were far too loose, unfortunately. It's going to take a month and a half to get a smaller size. I'm leaving three stars, not because of the quality of the boots, but because Rancourt needs an improved system to help customers determine their correct size.
