The Acadia Chukka Redux is an update to our best-selling Acadia Chukka, Now with Lactae Hevea outsoles. A chukka is a short, ankle-height, boot that typically has two or three rows of eyelets. The Acadia strikes the perfect balance between summer moccasins and winter boots making it the ideal transitional footwear between summer and fall. Favorite shoes. Super comfortable with amazing soles.

I wear these when going out to theater and concert events with my wife. They are great for walking and soles have a firm grip and are extremely quiet. The fit is right on. Initially, they were a bit snug, but the leather is extremely supple.

Chukka Redux/chromexal

Great shoe. I bought these as HIKING shoes but they are so nice looking, I am hesitant to ABUSE them. They definitely could take it, though.

Great chukka

I love the look and function of these shoes. I live in Minnesota where there is often slush and snow. I have not yet broken them in and find that the top rubs my Achilles heal. Once broken in, I think they will be a favorite.

Follow up - Second pair of Rancourts, 30 days old

So, I’ve now had these shoes since August. They are comfortable and have broken in well. The soles are still sticky, catching rug edges and they are still squeaking. The left shoe tongue was sewn in askew, slightly resulting in a crooked lace up …not a deal breaker. The shoes have no reinforcement in the heel cup, so my normal walking gate has pushed the uppers over the outer sole edge a bit. Consequences of a moccasin style shoe I guess. Overall the shoes are satisfying my demands for light winter inclement weather wear. I’m glad I got them through crowdfunding and not full retail. These shoes still smell great, and if you love the smell of a well worn baseball glove, then every time you put them on should make you smile.
